Mission Intro

I don't think the new year has had a really great start for me. I mean, I'm lagging in all my study schedules, am past all the deadlines I set for myself...but no end in sight...And the strangest thing is, I’m not getting pro-active, like I usually happen to do.
Wish someone, something would show me the way, soon. I have the potential; don’t want to be just another wreck.

But I’ve realized that writing or any other form of creative expression is kinda necessary for me. When I don’t do anything creative for a long period of time, it’s like a clot in my head that needs to be gotten out to rid me of the pressure. Not very pretty analogy, I know.

So I think from now on I’ll blog on schedule—say twice/thrice a week at least. Or maybe I should fix a particular day. Yeah, that would be better. Blog on Sundays, Tuesdays; lock myself in a room with books, caffeine, and no internet on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays; and finish long-overdue tasks of saving the world on Saturdays. In between all this, teach my kid sister the alphabet and the correct words to “Johnny, Johnny” while trying not to think about little Johnny’s namesake supermodel-actor.
Also wash my little Carrie and supervise the maid while mom’s gone to work. (I found the maid watching The Bold and The Beautiful---just watching, coz she doesn’t understand English---in some of her idle minutes yesterday. :D)

Got to do some self-maintenance as well.

Maybe I should put off saving the world on Saturdays till all of this gets done. :D

So will try to keep you updated about Mission Status as often as possible, and other general randomness. Keep coming back.

Johnny Depp, I am guessing? Ohh! *drools*
Your determination is very very appreciable. I wish I had behaved in a similar manner last year.
Anyway, all the very best to you.

thanks kashika...but don't regret the bygone now...n when blue, think about good stuff (Johnny Depp..? :P )

i liked the no-creativity-causes-clot-in-head thing :) blogging does take off some stress.. believe me..

hi thanks for stopping by my blog. i love the layout of yours. and i agree with you. if i don't do something creative, be it literary or musical, i feel a lot of tension and pressure inside of myself

lol
almost exactly the same predicament i find myself in these days :)
job, studies, family, friends, peers, boss, awards, remuneration, future, present, everything and i mean everything looking like a mashed noodled mess, and in between, those stories and poems and ideas and creativity popping out at the most inoportune times screaming, "write me down, write me down"...
phew!!!
what to do?
simple. i've made a point to write something everyday. if not a poem, then prose. if nothing else, then an anecdote or a passing reminder on the moments travelling by.
but write.
something is always better than nothing.
wish u the same.
and hey, don't leave the world on saturdays :)
thanks for visiting delhidreams.

Thanks! :)

yeah exactly..mashed noodled mess describes it so right :D
and you are right about the writing-something-everyday part..i do..however, often it may not be blogworthy..anyways.

amen to clearing the mess, soon.
:D

Okay, first paragraph is the exact same in here. My books are so clean that they seem like they've just come out of the printing machine.

I have tried doing the blog on schedule thing, never worked for me. But best of luck to you, hope it works and I think it will. Mine didn't work because I'm awful at schedules. Now I blog every 3 to 4 days. In the other days, I simply jot down the interesting things and convert them into the post when I'm writing. Having said that, even this is not fixed. If I'm having exams, I might not post for 2 days at a stretch.

And wow, you do a lot of work. Teaching the alphabet, looking at the maid etc. Our maid also used to watch english movies btw, and I've never been able to figure out why.
Do you like Johnny Depp? If you don't then you can remember him while teaching Johnny Johhny Yes Papa so that Mr. Abraham doesn't come to your mind. And the locking myself in a room thing never worked either. I eat all the things, drink the caffeine and do everything that's supposed to be done except the studying part. Maybe I'm just lame?

Good luck with the self maintenance and the mission. And how exactly do you save the world? Are you trying to tell me that it was you who I saw flying in the air yesterday? It's Spiderman! It's Superman! No wait, it's Sherrywoman?!

Sherry said...

hey Ishmeet,

nice to see you visiting. :)
well i'm awful at schedules too...as is visible. this post is january 4th. and no, i wasn't busy "saving the world" anyways. let the world go to hell, i gotta get ready for march. :D

teaching the alphabet, yeah that can be really exasperating when you have a sis that only likes to dance to the latest bollywood numbers all the time. (she used to sing the initial few words of "kajrare, kajraare.." when she was, like, 2 years old.) :D

Johnny Depp. No, not really my type. :P I actually meant the said Mr. Abraham in the post, but Kashika (Commentor #2) decided to think it was depp. anyways.

You say "locking myself in a room thing never worked either. I eat all the things....". But no, you are not "lame". As long as you only eat all that is edible. :D

No, well, i can't disclose to you the mission details just yet...*whispers* ..confidential, ya see?
*back to normal lovely voice*
Anyways, almost equally long reply. All the best to you too. :)

Ah, I actually didn't even read Kashika's comment. What I meant was that since you have to think about a "Johnny", why not think about Depp since you don't like him and that'll get your mind back to the alphabet. I knew you mentioned John Abraham in there because Depp isn't a supermodel. I'm good at quizzes but the condition is that they shouldn't be related to studies. :P

And yes, Bollywood has much more influence over kids than abc. Abc is boring, Kajra re has got Aishwarya aunty, Abhishek Uncle and Amitabh dada so it's way better. Just think, ek gaane mein poora Bachchan parivar! Actually, I learned my abc from a song too. I learned the full song and the kids used to chant the entire alphabet in between and aise hi yaad ho gaya. Even if today somebody asks me to recite it, I do it in the tune of the song. I think it was from that movie "Hum Saath Saath Hain" if you ever watched it. Now that I think about it, it was lame. Why can't Coldplay sing an abc song..they've already sung The Scientist so this shouldn't be too difficult I believe.

And yea, I eat the edible things only..as far as I remember. :P

Confidential mission, aila. Okay best of luck with it anyway. And you're gonna have to do a lot of effort if you're planning to catch up with the length of my comments. Mine tend to get really really long most of the times, longer than even the posts I'm commenting on :P

Sherry said...

Hmm..yeah , i understood..but then Depp isn't that bad too, come to think of it. :P

yeah, sure remember that abc song too...donno whether coldplay will do something like that or not, you can, with the band you hope to form someday (reference: your profile) :P

Anonymous said...

Ah yes, that's a good idea for a first song. If I ever make a band and it works, you get the first autographed CD. Exciting ain't it? :P

Sherry said...

Cool. And even if it doesn't work, the producer/sponsor's office can be blown up along with the CBSE office :P (ref: my comment on your last post).

Anonymous said...

Haha, yeah I agree. Will have to make sure we steal some of the instruments from the producer's office before blowing it up though. The kind of Piano Chris Martin uses costs a fortune. I even went to the extent of making that "Make Trade Fair" symbol on my hand once. And I used coloured cello-tape for the kind of rings Chris uses on his fingers. I know I'm crazy. :P

Btw, I just noticed your Favicon, it's animated right? Very cool I must say.

Sherry said...

Colored cello tape must have been honoured about the purpose you used it for :P :D

About the favicon..thanks..but i don't remember where i got it from. Two words: Jai Google!

Anonymous said...

Yea, it's better to use cello tape for that rather than sticking it on a lame scrapbook or project report for the Central Board of Student Exploitation. They don't deserve that like one bit.

And I agree with you on the two word bit. I've got 4 words for it though: Google Maharaj ki Jai! :P

Sherry said...

Google Maai ki Jai bolo yaar..no filthy rich complacent Maharaaj would go bring you so many links at a small request :D And Google Maai sounds more adorable that Google Maharaj. :P

Oh yes, I'm a deeeeep thinker indeed :) thanks for the compliment...

Yeah, football has its own perks, especially with all those..erm..aesthetically pleasing people around..no less than at least 22 :P

Keep up your passion for the game...it's alrite as long as you don't headbutt people, i guess. :D

Google can't be a Maai yaar, no chance. Maai's are supposed to be considerate. They don't go around buying other people's children right left and center. Only Maharaja's do that. LHS=RHS. Hence Proved. :P
