first things first! what a lovely template!! did you do it yourself?

secondly, happy women's day!
TGIF
I seriously can't imagine how bad ot must be being a guy.

Peace and love back to you! ;)

Sherry said...

Yeah, I did the template myself. Thanks :)
TGIF yeah, but being a guy wouldn't be all that bad, I guess. However, I have never heard anybody TGHM-ing. So well.
And as the quote goes, God created man before the woman. But then you always prepare a rough draft before the final masterpiece! :D

"back to you"...? Haha...nobody has said that to me in ...like...9 years or so..ya know, as in "Same to you, back to you" :P

Paper kaisa gaya?

And you don't see guy's going TGIMing because we're already in the majority and we are badnaam for opressing women. On top of that, if we go around TGIMing, fir toh baat aur kharaab ho jayegi. I guess that's why we don't have a Men's day either, what say?

Oh and Same to you, back to you, see you, Thank You. :P :P

I dnt know why it always a god and not goddess, guess the masterpiece is still not completed.:)

The Keeper of the Keys said...

@ish--ah i dont know. i don't see a man saying oh fuck, i'm male.
so why not just say tgim.

@sanyukta-- you're brilliant, man. or woman. i didn't mean that to sound sexist.
anyway.
ya, back to you is so ancient right? i wasnt thinking of it swear. but i'm still a kid at heart i guess.

Sherry said...

#Ish

Eng paper was won-derr-full... :) But it's still not mitigating the fiz disaster. I think the writing section today was kinda boring. But whatever. How was yours?

Oh. So that you say is the reason guys don't say TGIM. Or is it that they haven't got any reason to...? :D Okay, I guess maybe they haven't figured out the reason(s). :P

#Anon

Yeah well it could be "Goddess"...but then the world will have another reason for a feminist debate...and does it even matter...? All that matters is that probably there's Someone/Something Up There running the show...no matter what we call that entity.
A masterpiece is a masterpiece, complete or not. And there's always scope for improvement ;)

#Nidhi

Haha...yeah I know you didn't mean it that way. Thanks :)
Back to you is kinda cute. And child at heart? We all are. :)

@Nids: Iono, I know we don't go about cribbing that we are males but yea, it isn't exactly anything to be proud about. I mean, it isn't as if we've put in any work into making ourselves males. Bobby Darling can be really proud of himself/herself that way. :P

@Sanyukta: Yeah, English was sweet. But Physics was absolute annihilation. I didn't fancy the writing section a lot either, well except that Information Technology waala question. The only place I can have screwed up will be the Notes. Somehow I'm not very confident about them.

Maybe, it could be that we don't have anything to be proud of, pretty much yeah. But yea, being a male is much easier I guess, don't you think?

Anonymous said...

I m wondering IS bobby darling a masterpiece or is it still not completed ;)

Anonymous said...

@ Nidhi--- Hmm u r right tats why we hav tomboy and not tomgirl :)

Waise i don't think ki u r still 18..(refer to new year waala post)..so 'kid'..abhi se Women's Day ki khushi?

When i wished my ma ..she said every day is Women's Day,so nthin' new for her...in fact i felt tht she's correct..don't u?..

I suppose your ANGREZI paper would have gone great..after all..sherry toh McMillan Champ hai yaar...mine was fine too...

Mann this post can get miles longer...it is better i just shut up!!

Sherry said...

@Ish:
you say
//being a male is much easier I guess, don't you think?

Can't really compare, ya see? Guess you'll have to ask Bobby darling instead. :P

@Anon:
Uff. I can't believe this. We're actually having a discussion about Bobby on my simple sweet girly post. Uff again.
:D

@Abhi:
TGIF means just that yaar...why are you guys having trouble getting it? :P
You wish it's Her and not Him, yeah? Cool.
But yeah, kya farak padta hai.
Your mom is so right. Moms always are. Okay, almost always.
Angrezi was great like you said...thanks :)

Clark Kent said...

Madam problem ki baat nahi hai..i'm just not gettin' that...uss bechare ko kya pata women ne kya kiya..it was his job ..all that makes u proud of femininehood is what women have done...ab bhagwaan ne aakar toh kaha nahi hoga naa..let her top Mcmillan this year...so yaar thank all those including youreslf who made u proud , girl...

All right - all right ...waise agar my ma is correct ..why do we have such days..does the world need to know 'bout womenhood n all...n if yes..then yaar ek din se kya hoga..??

@Sanyukta: LOL, I was not really talking about the bodily differences between males and females. I was just saying it in a general sense for example you don't face much prejudice and all that in difference fields when you are a guy whereas women have to prove themselves so many times. I know things are changing but still, a major part of the society doesn't believe that a female can easily leave a male behind. Moreover, we as males don't really have to be afraid while walking on the streets and general stuff like that.

P.S. - Thanks for talking about Vittoria in the last post. I downloaded Angels and Demons, read it in 2 days and I still can't tell you what I'm feeling. It was such a wicked book, especially the ambigrams. Brilliant is the only word.

Sherry said...

@Abhi:

Yeah..women have done stuff...ran empires, governments, businesses....but well...there's always a thank-god element involved for those who believe. I could very well have been...just anybody at all...maybe worse-off than what I am....blind/deaf/mute/incapacitated...anything...so I try to be grateful for all that I've been given. There is some Higher Agency (sounds Bond-esque? :P) behind this, you cannot deny. If we all could choose what we wanted to be, none of all this poverty and stuff the UN is worried about would have been happening. There is definitely Someone Up There running The Show, like I said.

I guess it really wouldn't matter if we didn't have "days" for stuff in life....but well, we happen to do. And that's good too. At least it gives a sense of camaraderie to people and at the very leat blog-post-writing-oppotunities to random girls like me. So there. :)

@Ish:

Sheesh. Even I wasn't talking about the biological differences. maybe I happened to crack my first-ever lame joke. Whatever. :P
Yeah perhaps guys don't face much prejudice and all. But the other side of the coin is that nobody opens doors and offers chairs to them anyhow. :P But that's only a small significant part about the whole deal. But however, even they have to prove themselves too. About your "general stuff like that", you are right. :)

Hmm yeah....A&D is brilliant....I just love the pace Danny maintains throughout the whole thing...it's really unputdownable. (So, liked Vittoria? :P) But there are a few glitches in there...perhaps a few facts that the author happened to overlook. But that's stuff for a whole new post. :)
Ambigrams were cool. Especially the Diamond. After reading that book, I tried to create an ambigram for my name too, and I did. :) (not for any macabre purposes, mind you! :P)

Anonymous said...

I don't know, maybe I wasn't able to comprehend your lame joke? :P

The debate between men and women is never ending, I just hope things improve and I'm sure they will. If they don't, then mereko shaadi karne ke liye ladki nahi milne waali. :P

Yeah, it was pretty addictive. I didn't think I was gonna finish it in 2 days but I did. It so happened that I had some 100 pages left and it was 1:00 AM but I just couldn't go to sleep. Khatam kar ke hi soya and then Dad woke me up at 6. :|

A few glitches? I'd like to know about them. Make a post after the exams or something. The only part where I got lost a bit was after the part when Robert and the Camerlagno go into the helicopter. Maybe I read it too fast, ek baar firse padhna padega. I didn't get why the camerlagno was glowing when he emerged at the top of the Sistine Chapel, or wherever he emerged after the explosion.

Oh, and loved Vittoria. As soon as I read her description, I had somebody in mind who I thought was like her somehow. Megan Fox, the girl in Transformers if you've seen that one.

You managed to create an ambigram for your name?! That's amazing. I so need to see a picture of that. Think it's possible?

Sherry said...

Don't worry ...things will improve :D
yeah I'll write about the glitches and will post the pic of the ambigram too...after the exams.
The camerlengo wasn't actually glowing...until he set fire to himself, being soaked in that holy oil-whatever. But maine bhi kaafi pehle padha thaa....don't remember all the details..

No idea bout Megan Fox, but Vittoria was cool for sure.

(What's your opinion about Gunther Glick and chinita macri? :P I really sympathised with the two! :D)

The Keeper of the Keys said...

@everybody in general....
how can one possibly say its easier being a man/woman...its not like you've tried the other side...unless you're bobby darling or something...

and yeah, i hate how there's a tomboy but no tomgirl. its as if being a boy if funner(more fun) or something...

btw, lol, i know you're gonna tell me about chakkis...or only i'm familiar with them?

Angels and demons, i'm interested. what were the glitches? something to do with the cern boss no?
my friend made ambigrams all day long. she managed but they werent pretty. i never even tried.

btw, i've blogrolled you, sanyukta.

Sherry said...

Exactly yaar..that's what I said. But Ish thot I was talking about something else altogether :P
I agree with you on the tomgirl part...
Glitches were about the boss also, and a certain line in the Hassassin's call to the camerlengo's office.
I'll write about that.
yeah, my ambigram wasn't that pretty...but it was an ambigram nonetheless. Almost.
Thanks for blogrolling me. :)

Anonymous said...

Oh, so that's what you meant! Turns out it's my useless brain after all then. I get it now.

The Hassassin never knew that Janus was actually the camerlegno. Or did he?

Oh and I'm not talking about the camerlegno glowing after he goes to address the public after coming to know that the Pope was his father. I'm talking about the part when the Antimatter explosion had just taken place and Robert had not yet fallen into the Tiber but the camerlegno had appeared on the top of Vatican City. The part where it says that he appeared with Jesus. That's the part I didn't understand. Or maybe I should go re-read it.

The Keeper of the Keys said...

@ish--The Hassassin never knew that Janus was actually the camerlegno. Duh!
and he appeared like jesus not with, if jesus was mentioned at all....*scratches head in perplexed manner*

@sanyukta--heheheheh

Sherry said...

@Ish

Nidhi answered you. And no, the camerlegno did not appear with jesus.
Uh. I need a re-reading too. :|

@ Nids

:)

Anonymous said...

I re-read it. Problem solved. He wasn't shining and he appeared with the statues of Jesus and his apostles that had been erected there, arms outstretched to the world. I guess I was in a hurry to finish it so I got confused. And I figured the Helicopter sequence out as well.

There is still another doubt though. When the Hassassin and Robert are fighting in the end and the Hassassin tells that Janus will himself do the final branding, Robert thinks it's the Camerlegno who's gonna be branded. So then he tells the Hassassin that he'll never be able to get to the Vatican City. The Hassassin replies that "Janus has an appointment there". But Janus is the Camerlegno right? So did Janus purposely made the Hassassin think that he was the saviour as well?

The Keeper of the Keys said...

janus is the crmlngo. obviously he never told the hassasin that. the hassasin thot janus was very influential....

Apoorv Khatreja said...

Really, thank G*d you're female. You wouldn't want to be male, because you can't be one. It takes some serious balls to be a man.

Sherry said...

@Apoorv:

Yeah whatever. But you totally missed my point. Even if i could, I wouldn't want to be. That's what I meant.

Yes, and it takes serious ovaries to be a female! So TGIF! Men are always playing up their supposed physical abilities, but women give birth and that's the hardest physical thing that can be done!! Ever! Men cant compete with that, so they try to find something exclusive they are "good at" but there isn't anything exclusively male that is equal to lifegiving. Men don't have it and that is why they discriminate against us.

As women we need to start celebrating ourselves as women and what we bring to the world! We aren't oppressors and we don't hurt people. So TGIF and it takes some real ovaries and strength to be a female! Let's honor it!
